Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book conference hotels in Fort Myers?
For a large meeting or corporate event, start looking at least three to six months out, especially if you need a sizable room block. Properties like the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa and the Crowne Plaza Ft. Myers Gulf Coast book up early during peak season. Booking ahead also gives you time to compare rates and lock in meeting space that fits your agenda.
How do I book a block of rooms for my conference attendees?
If you need nine or more guest rooms, Engine Groups handles the room-block booking for you. For eight rooms or fewer, you can book directly through Engine's self-serve platform. Either way, you'll get pre-negotiated rates and consolidated invoicing to simplify your planning.
Can Engine help with both the guest rooms and the meeting space for my event?
Yes. For the guest-room block, Engine Groups handles bookings of nine or more rooms, and you can book eight or fewer yourself on the platform. For the meeting or event space, Engine Spaces lets you find and request venues at properties across Fort Myers. That means you can manage both pieces in one place without juggling multiple vendors.
How does billing work when I book a large room block through Engine?
Engine offers consolidated invoicing, so you get one bill for your entire stay instead of tracking individual folios. You also have multiple payment options and no membership fee, which makes reconciliation straightforward for your finance team.
What's the best way to get attendees to Fort Myers for a conference?
Most out-of-town attendees fly into Southwest Florida International Airport, which is about twenty minutes from downtown Fort Myers. Hotels like the Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Myers at I-75 and Gulf Coast Town Center sit near the interstate, making airport pickup and local transport easier. Arrange ground transportation or shuttles in advance if your group is large.
